Oldsmobile hat features a detailed 422 Logo. The Oldsmobile 442 Logo is embroidered in the original colors red, orange, yellow with the 442 embroidered in white.
Originally 442 stand for; 4: Four Barrel Carburetion, 4: Four On the Floor, 2: Dual Exhausts and was used the first time in 1964. Later models did not officially follow any adherence to features stemming from the numerals 4-4-2 but did informally match.
