In an era of building performance image, ford stepped it up in the early 60's with some potent machines. This design features these early Ford muscle cars. First is the '64 Fairline T-Bolt with full-race 427 prepared to battle any and all who dared. Next, is the '63 1/2 Galaxie 500 XL Lightweight with 427 for power. With this potent mill and lightweight aluminium panels, this full-size ford could hold it's own on the strip, and on the street. Finally, there is the '67 Ford Fairlane GT 390. Although a few were built with the race 427, this was the muscle most seen on the street. From the twin bulges on the hood, to the 390 emblems, and the GT stripes on the lower rockers, Ford's performance image came in loud and clear.
